December 5th

Today we read the same passage as we read last night, but this time our focus was on Mary.  We are told that when Mary is greeted by Gabriel, she is confused and disturbed.  Gabriel assures her there is no reason to fear for God has decided to bless her.  She will become pregnant with a son whom she will name Jesus.  He will be called the son of the Most High.  Mary response is, "I am the Lord's servant, and I am willing to accept whatever he wants."

I have to think, am I this quick to listen, hear, and accept the Lord's plans for my life?

At Community Bible Study this morning, Emily, Matt, and Andrew made these adorable FROG cupcakes.  They are studying Romans and their lesson this week was the completion of chapter 7, in which we are told that the laws purpose is reveal our sin.  In our own flesh, we are unable to do the good we want to do, but with God through Jesus Christ we are.

So thankful for the amazing, in depth biblical knowledge they are receiving through CBS each week.

And finally, here is what Carl was up to today while we were at bible study.  He brought along his own elf milk today and was busy eating milk and cookies.

"Who will set me free from this life dominated by sin?  Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 7:24-25
