Luke is 8 Months Old

Luke,
Another month has gone by so quickly.  Your little personality is coming out more and more each day.  You are playing with your toys and paying close attention to your brothers and sisters.  You love to watch Bailey our dog.  Your eyes follow her all around the room.
Your are still wearing 6-9 month and size 3 diapers
You eat two meals a day.  I have tried this month to bump you up to eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner but you didn't like it and for several days would only eat dinner.  So, we went back to just eating mid-morning and at dinner time.  You don't care for many of the stage two combinations.  You're a basics boy, applesauce, pears, bananas, sweet potatoes, and squash are your staples.
You are taking two naps, morning and afternoon.  You go to bed around 7:00pm, but have only slept through the night once.  You are definitely doing better than last month when you were waking up almost every hour.  Now you wake around 11:30 pm, then around 3:00 am and wake up for the day around 7:00 am.
You have stayed relatively healthy and for that we are so thankful.  I pray everyday that God will protect your sweet body from illness.  We only visited the doctor this month for your flu shot.
Some days you can be so serious and other days you are full of smiles!  I am loving spending the day when your brothers and sisters are in school, loving on you.  It has been a true blessing and a lesson in patience, letting go, and learning to truly depend on God.
Buddy,
You are my little love.  I know these next few months will fly by and I want to embrace this time with you.  I pray that God will wrap his full armor around you and protect you from any evil or wrong doing.  I pray that you will grow to love God and accept him into your heart.  That you will keep his teachings in your heart and mind and put them into action.  That you will love your Daddy and I and build a strong loving relationship with each of your siblings.
I love you Luke

365 Pictures

(image taken of live tv coverage ABC news)

"If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God."
Colossians 3:1-3

Luke Lately

It is getting harder to capture pictures of this little guy using my iPhone because he is moving all the time and a a lot of the pictures come out fuzzy!
He is getting to be so much fun!
He is making all kinds of noises and is trying to imitate them too.

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.  My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.

The fun things about 2

Our Caroline recently turned 2 years old.  She has a really fun personality, so we are really enjoying that she is learning new things everyday.
She is rarely in a bad mood.  She smiles and waves at everyone!  She loves to have her picture taken and then see herself in the picture.  If you ask her who is in the picture, she will say, "me"!
She loves dolls, just like her older sisters.  She is also enjoying playing with her fisher price little people zoo and princess castle.
She has crazy hair, just like her sisters too!
She loves to help me with Luke.
They are starting to play together, which is fun to see.  Caroline is a very sweet big sister.
She loves to give Luke kisses!

What I am loving most about this age is listening to her sing.  Nana bought her Violet for Christmas and Caroline just adores her.  I often catch her singing along with Violet.

365 Take Two

I started this project last year and did pretty good up until getting sick and delivering Luke early, so I'm going to give it an attempt for the second time and hope to make it all the way to picture 365!

Happy 2nd Birthday Caroline

Two years ago, we welcomed this sweet little girl to our family.
Caroline Elizabeth Kresin was born on Dec. 30, 2010
She is our third little girl and is loved dearly by her big sisters.
Here she is on her first birthday last year!

Caroline has loved Dora the Explorer for as long as we can remember, so when deciding on the theme for her 2nd birthday party it was a no brainer!
Caroline has been under the weather this past week, so she wasn't too smiley for her pictures, but she loved the Dora and Boots cupcakes.
Her birthday present was the Fisher Price Little People Disney Castle
Once we got the castle out of the box and put together, Caroline and Kate were in love with it.

Caroline,
We are so thankful that God choose our family for you.  We love seeing you grow and learn new things everyday.  This has been such a fun year in your life.  You are enjoying playing with your brothers and sisters and you even became a big sister this year to Luke.  You are loving, kind, gentle, funny, smart, inquisitive, loyal and full of spunk.  Your teachers at church love to see you on Sunday because you love to sing, dance, and are always happy.  You finally have a mouth full of teeth and are talking more and more everyday.  We are excited to see all that you learn this coming year and discover more of your personality and your likes.  We pray you will stay just as sweet as you are today.  That you will love well and live life in a way that brings pleasure to God.  That you will always seek God's direction for your life and that your family will be your priority.  We know God has great things planned for your life and look forward to seeing His plans come to fruition.
We love you sweet Caroline!
Happy 2nd Birthday
