Last year for advent we did the names of Jesus from Focus on the Family. This year I decided to try The Truth is in the Tinsel. Each night you read a passage from the Bible, have a family discussion, and then complete a fun activity to help everyone connect personally with the passage.
Day 1- Light (Isaiah 9:2-7)
"The people who walk in darkness will see a great light- a light that will shine on all who live in the land where death casts its shadow." Isaiah 9:2
Day 2-Kingdom (Isaiah 9:2-7)
"For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. And the government will rest on his shoulders. These will be his royal titles: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

Today Carl was coloring a beautiful picture for a coloring contest hosted by the Elves at the North Pole. He knew our kids loved to color, so he brought along an extra for each of them to color. Kate got right to work doing her very best work.
