Week in Pictures

We had a busy week full of doctor appointments, dentist visits, baseball games, school programs, and the making of baptism videos.  It is finally the weekend.  We are ready to relax and enjoy our beautiful Georgia weather!

Here's a peak at our week.
We began the week concluding a wonderful visit from our family who were here to celebrate Emily's baptism.  Kate ate her first boiled peanuts.  I can't say I have ever had one or had the desire to try one, but they are a favorite of Great-Grandma and Daddy.

Monday marked day 3 of Kate wearing her new flower headband....a present from Nana when she came to visit this past weekend.

Caroline loves to sit in the doll crib.

Wednesday I had the longest OB appointment to date.  After waiting an hour past my appointment to be called back, I still was behind two sonograms.  Luckily, I didn't have the girls with me or my blood pressure would have been sky high.

Kate entertained herself by making a slide while I was doing laundry.

Sometimes on a Friday, we will meet Daddy for lunch in Madison.  Today we went to Burger King because Chick-Fil-A was super busy.

Daddy took Matt, Andrew, and Kate to get donuts for breakfast.

Emily's Baptism

Yesterday was a significant day in the life of our eight year old.  Several months ago, she began asking us questions about baptism and decided that she wanted to tell the world with her words and actions that her faith lied only in God.  We attended a special presentation at our church called Jump Start and Emily heard how God loved her, sent his perfect son to die for her sins, and that by putting her faith and trust in him alone she would receive the gift of eternal life.  She went on to meet with the youth staff and express her desire to be baptized and explain why it was important to her.
Last night, along with 9 other young children, Emily publicly professed her faith in God alone and was baptised by our pastor Sean Sey.  It was a very special night that she was able to share with our family.
Emily made this video that was played before she was baptized.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16

Week in Pictures

Caroline enjoyed playing in the tunnel.

With her siblings at school, Kate had a great time making play dough cookies.

Caroline entertains herself in the playroom.

Kate gets her toenails painted.

Matthew completes his daily workout on wii fit.

Nick mows the front yard with his younger siblings watching.  Why all the excitement?  A snake was spotted slithering out of the bushes and across the front yard!

Emily is baptized at our church.  Post to follow about this great day!

Where in the World is Daddy-Day 3

Wednesday morning, Daddy boarded his third airplane this week and left the beautiful landscape pictured above.  The snow caped mountain range in the background may have given you a hint of his location yesterday.  He was in Longmont, Colorado.
After another early morning flight, he arrived at his final destination for this week before returning home tomorrow.
Here is his plane arriving at the gate.  He is now in the Central time zone, only an hour difference from us.
The view from the car window as he was driving back to the hotel tonight.
It has been a whirlwind week of travel for our Dad!  We can't wait to have him home with us tomorrow night!

Where in the World is Daddy-Day 2

Yesterday morning, our Dad left for a whirlwind trip.  Were you able to take a guess at where he traveled to on day 1?  These pictures were taken somewhere near Seattle, Washington.

Very early in the morning on day 2, he left this rainy terrain for destination two.  Take a look at these pictures he sent us and see if you know where he traveled to today.
He leaves early tomorrow morning for destination three before coming home to Georgia on Thursday.

Where in the World is Daddy? Day 1

"But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine."
Psalm 33:18-19

God's Creatures

Children are usually fascinated by all of God's creatures.  My children are no exception.  They love to find and collect all kinds of bugs, worms, toads, ect.  Most weekends when our family is outdoors, the kids are exploring the yard and running inside to find a container for their newest creatures.
This year, Emily and Matthew have both learned about a species of caterpillar that is very common around our area from their elementary school librarian.  They can even tell you if the caterpillar is a male or female based on its coloring.  We have several that have spun cocoons and are busy becoming moths.

"You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you."
