Summer Time

Here's our summer so far...

Our summer started by pet sitting for our friend's dog...Farley

That weekend, Matt, Andrew, and Kate left to visit Grandma and Grandpa.  With the house a little quieter, we took advantage and potty trained this cutie.
We think the spidy undies must help him climb because he started scaling our pantry in search of keys!

With most of their playmates at Nana's and Grandma's, Luke and Caroline quickly became best friends and took advantage of having Dad and Mom all to themselves.
We took advantage of a quiet house and decided to rip out all our carpeting and lay lament floors.
Luke is always ready to help his Dad.

Caroline on the other hand occupied herself by walking on the balance beam.

Our older kids came home from Nana and Pop's house the following week and we did a few fun activities.
We tried the bounce house...Luke wasn't a fan. It was too loud with the pumps that blow up all the bounce houses.  He asked when we were leaving the entire time we were there and only went into the bounce house one time.

We also hit up Chuck E Cheese.  Luke liked this a little more, but still wasn't totally thrilled.  He much prefers to be at home.
His favorite place to be...with his bunny and paci!
It has been incredibly hot this summer in Georgia.  The temps have soared near 100 everyday these past few weeks.  The hot temps and sunny days call for lots of watering. Luckily for me, I have an eager helper to get the job done.

With our diligent watering, our garden has gone from this.....

to this in just a couple of weeks.  We are hoping to have a pumpkin by fall!
The middle kids had a great time visiting Florida.
Uncle Casey and Aunt Monica took them for the weekend and spoiled them with tons of fun!

There was also lots of swimming with Grandma and Grandpa and a trip to the splash pad.

Another highlight was a trip to Sea World

The start to our summer has been full of adventure and lots of fun experiences.
