Emma Jane

Emma Jane joined our family at the beginning of February and is well loved by all our kids.  She is officially Emily's, but don't tell the little kids that.  We thought she would make a great addition to our classroom and we were right.  She is sweet and gentle and allows even Luke to hold and pet her.

Emily and I found ourselves in the guinea pig aisle at the local pet store back at the beginning of February when we went to make Baily our dog a new tag for her collar.  We both fell in love immediately with a little brightly colored guinea pig. I told Emily, she would have to get permission from her Dad first before we could buy one.  At first, he said no.  But, Emily was persistent and soon found herself writing a presentation for her Dad on the cost of guinea pig ownership.  In the end, she won over her Dad and was allowed to buy the guinea pig.  Only one problem existed at this point....Our adorable friend was gone and only huge guinea pigs were left to pick from.  We made a short drive to another store where we found Emma Jane.

Emily has remained a devoted mother to Emma.  She held guinea pig classes for the younger kids in our family and taught them how to care for her.  She is very attentive to Emma and has quickly learned what Emma likes/dislikes.

"Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God:  sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness.  Otherwise, you also will be cut off.  And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again."
Romans 11:22-23
