Christmas Eve 2012

Twas the night before Christmas....
When all through our house,
not a creature was stirring,
not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

I'm just taking a moment to sit and relax after a very full Christmas Eve with the kids and Brett at home.  The monkey bread is made and rising on the stove, ready for our traditional Christmas morning breakfast.
Carl is getting ready for his final flight home to the North Pole tonight.  It has been a full month for him keeping the kids on their toes each and every morning all month.
This morning when the kids awoke, they found Carl testing out the fireplace for Santa's arrival tonight.  He left them a sweet note and brought them each a package from Santa himself.

Looking forward to celebrating the birth of our Savior tomorrow morning.
Praying for contentment and thanksgiving with my children as they unwrap each gift.  I pray for their heart to understand the blessing we share this holiday season.  That everything we have belongs to God and has been entrusted to us to bring glory to Him.

Happy Christmas Eve 2012

"While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son.  She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manager, because there was no room for them in the inn."
