This year I decided to write down a few fun activities that I thought the kids would enjoy completing this December. The written format makes me more accountable to both myself and the kids.
December was rung in with the return of our beloved Elf, Carl. Many faithful readers will note that we did indeed have quite a few conversations before the birth of our last child that involved my husband and children seriously vying to name our sweet baby boy Carl!
Carl returned Saturday morning and set our table for a North Pole breakfast. He brought hot chocolate and cinnamon bread to make yummy toast. He also brought a treat from the North Pole for each of the kids.
He also brought a fun family activity....a gingerbread house.
After breakfast, we left in two shifts to enjoy the annual Watkinsville Christmas Parade.
Waiting for the parade to begin.
Emily asked to bring her friend along. She also brought the class panda, Bamboo.
"And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end."
Luke 1:31-33
