FALL

The F in Fall is for Football...
My boys minus one, love, love, love football, especially the Clemson Tigers.  This fall, they have been blessed to attend 3 home games with Brett's boss.  Matthew relishes this time.  He loves the tiger walk, the fight songs and cheers, the band, the fans, and the game!

The A in Fall is for Action....
Our fall weather has been beautiful! Luke is an outside boy, but what boy isn't!  He loves the freedom of exploration the yard brings him.  He can spend hours on his tractor, swinging, or jumping on the trampoline.  He recently discovered this big truck that belongs to his brother.

The L is Fall is for Love.....
I love these people!

The L in fall is for Laid-up
Luke came down with a bad cold this week.  After a doctors visit and an ER visit, Luke is on his way to recovery.  Health is something that I often take for granted.  I am so grateful that we have access to wonderful insurance and medical facilities/staff that allow us the peace of mind in knowing that our family is taken care of.

"But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.  For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress."
Psalm 59:16

We were blessed with a visit from my parents this week.  Once again, they came and left without me taking a single picture to document our time together, but I found this picture on our school table this morning.  So grateful for loving parents who desire to spend time with their grandchildren.  My mom and Emily spent a lot of time talking about knitting.  Kate thinks they should have a knitting club.  My dad took many walks to the lake, played full football and baseball games with the boys, and spent hours in conversation with Kate.

Treasured Moments

Luke loves his Dad.
Phrases we all hear from Luke many times a day......
Where's Dad?
Where's Dad's keys?
Where's Dad's cup?
Where's Dad's phone?
Dad's home Mom!

Brett has worked from home a few days lately.  His little shadow is now working from home too!

Here's is Luke at work
Love this little guy!

Life Lately

Life has been on the fast lane in our family lately.  Since school started, we seem to have something scheduled everyday.  I much prefer the slower pace of life, but am learning to find the joy in where we sit right now.
With no time to blog, here are a few pictures of the kids lately.

Our little girls can always make a tutu fit the occasion.

No matter how full life gets, I thank God for the opportunity to live life with these people everyday.  I may get stressed, I may think that life could be easier if I did things differently, but God continues to speak into my life and tell me this is exactly what He has called me to do right now.
In the business of life, I pray that I continue to seek Him and hear what His will is for my life and I pray that I have the courage to follow.

Happy 6th Birthday Kate

For Kate's 6th birthday, she wanted an Ariel party.
Finding just Ariel proved to be hard, so she agreed to have some of the other princesses at her party.

Handmade gifts from her sister Emily. You can see from her expression how much she loved them.

Frozen nightgown from Grandma and Grandpa....another hit!

American girl doll, Isabella

Dress up outfit and matching stuffed animal from Nana and Pop....always loved!

She enjoyed a fabulous day as you can see from her beautiful earrings!  My friend that I teach bible study with invited Kate out to lunch and an afternoon of time with her.  Kate came home with some goodies and a very special memory of time with her beloved Ms. Dale!

Kate,
God created no one like you and we are blessed to share each and every day with you.  You wear your heart on your sleeve and every emotion that goes with it.  Your expressions are one of a kind!  You adore your big sister Emily and are a sweet big sister to Caroline. You love anything dress-up and wear no less than 10 new outfits everyday!  This past year has been a year of friendships for you.  You adore your friend Will from across the street.  You love church on Sunday, Awana on Wednesday, and CBS on Thursday.  You are learning to read and write and spend hours everyday writing notes to people and asking me how to spell words for you.  You are a free spirit at heart and we love you!

Happy birthday to our sweet, yet sassy six year old!
