Luke is 6 Months Old

It is hard to believe that just one year ago today, we hadn't even told our family that we were expecting you!  And now, wow!  You are six months old!
This has been an eventual month for you full of new things!
You are finally smiling at everyone when we talk to you.
You are laughing, especially when we change your clothes
We are looking forward to seeing more of your personality come out over the next months.
You are chewing on absolutely everything
Your fingers, our fingers

Your Sofie, your teething rings
You don't have any teeth yet, but you certainly are working on getting some.
You had your first tastes of real food.
You are now eating a jar of fruit plus rice cereal at breakfast and a jar of veggies at dinner.
You still prefer nursing and actually decided this month that you don't like to take a bottle at all anymore.  You figured out that if you just scream, whoever is watching you will call for Mommy and she will HAVE to come and nurse you!
Buddy, I love you with all of my heart.  I can't imagine my life without you.
You are coming into a really fun age and I can't wait to see all the new things you learn to do this next month.
Everyone is loving trying to make you smile and laugh these days.  These are a few of my favorite pictures of you with Andrew.

Your weight today at the GI doctor was 16 pounds 3 ounces and you were 26 1/2 inches long.
We thank God that you are healthy and growing.

Psalm 133:1
God, make our home a good and pleasant place, where brothers and sisters live together in unity.

Fun Weekend with Family

Our Aunt Monica
We are so happy that Uncle Casey decided to marry Monica and she has become part of our family.

We love spending time her.

Aunt Monica introduced Emily to the game, "Words with Friends" on the iphone.  She is now addicted along with the rest of our family.  Currently, Emily is playing games with Aunt Monica, Aunt Leslie, Brock, Dad, and Jake.

Kate blocking the way to our door when it was time for Aunt Monica to go home!

Our Aunt Leslie
Aunt Leslie knows the way to Kate's heart....painted purple fingers and toes!
and letting her borrow her princess headband!

Her way to Emily's heart.....staying up late to scrapbook!
Her way to our boy's heart....bringing their cousin Brock to play.

Fun Times with our family over the Thanksgiving holiday!

Our children are blessed with a loving family!

Our Family Thanksgiving

We shared a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday this year with family and friends, both old and new.  Brett's brothers Van, and Casey, his sister Leslie, and our sister-in-law Monica joined us this year.  We also invited our neighbor Don and Van's friends Allen and Lauren to join our family.

After a delicious dinner, the kids and adults ventured outside for a friendly game of football.

Kate's Thanksgiving Feast

This was Kate's first Thanksgiving feast at school.  She was so excited for Friday to actually arrive.  She had been waiting patiently all week to wear her Indian dress.
Walking in, Kate was shy at first.
They started with a song, "Ten Little Indian Boys and Girls."
This is Kate's teacher, Ms. Kim.  She is mid animation reading their favorite story, "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus."  The kids joined in during the story and played the part opposite the pigeon.
Kate attends a wonderful pre-k.  We are blessed by her teachers, who genuinely love each of these children and consider it a joy to teach them everyday.

"That my heart my sing to you and not be silent. O God my God, I will give you thanks forever."
Psalm 30:12
